Inside The Home
We have 30 rooms 1 of which could be used as double bedroom, all of which offer en-suite facilities for greater independence and privacy, all bedrooms are regarded as private areas for the resident to whom the room is occupied. Our single rooms are furnished to a high standard and contain a single bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and easy chair for the resident’s relaxation.
Our double room can be furnished similarly to the single rooms but are used for two residents sharing, we find that our shared rooms are ideal for residents who may wish to enter the home as a couple. In addition all new residents are welcome to bring, into the home, some of their own furniture providing this does not contravene the homes health and safety policy. We also ensure that each resident has the option of receiving their own key for their room.
We have three open plan communal living areas, these consist of two lounges with comfortable high back chairs and wall mounted TV's with large windows looking out onto the gardens and decked area. We also have a family / activity room, this room can be booked for private parties and visits and also for activities. We have a enclosed decked area off the lounges which allows residents to walk freely into outside space and enjoy a breath of fresh air or some time seated outside enjoying the gardens and flowers and hopefully some sunshine!
We also have a garden room which can accommodate three people, with a radio, chairs and soft furnishings giving another area of the home for people to enjoy.
The corridors of the home are bright, we have photos displayed on the walls of local landmarks to prompt conversation and promote the feeling of home.
We have activities co-ordinators working throughout the week at different times to ensure we have options for everyone to be incluced, they work evenings, during the day and weekends. The home as a large digital tablet which allows a huge selection of actvities providing stimulation and activities for all residents with differing abilities.
