The Best Possible Care.

The Croft provides first class 24 hour care for the residential and E.M.I Residential care together with offering Day Care, and Respite Care for families that need that well earned break. The home specialises in high standard of care for those who have Dementia related illnesses with memory lane corridors, memory photo albums we have been working hard with families to produce life history books for each individual, the reaction and interaction between the individual, family and staff has been very positive, providing stimulation, conversation and memories to be re-visited in a positive way. We all believe that people with dementia can live well with dementia.

Activities are a huge part of life at the Croft, we have four activities co-ordinators who work 6 day's a week, supporting the residents to maintain hobbies and interests and introducing new ideas. Daily we have low impact chair based keep fit to promote well-being and maintain flexibility and movement. We welcome outside entertainment very regularly such as line dancers, singers, salvation army, local school children. We believe that the residents should have the choice to continue to mix with the community and weekly we have the coffee club where up to four residents at a time go out by taxi locally for a coffee and a walk out. We also organsie regular trips out for lunch and bingo afternoons, lunch and quiz afternoons and we hire mini buses to take those who wish for a drive along the seafront stopping for chips and ice cream and a tour of Sunderland allowing memories and links to be maintained.

These standards are across the board, not just in relation to the care we provide, but also in our hospitality , house keeping maintenance and administrative services.
