The Best Possible Care

The Croft Care Home is an independent home registered for residential and residential EMI (dementia) care, the home is owner / manager ran by Kathryn who works full time along side her long standing team. We are proud to say that we have a very loyal and long standing staff team with many of the care staff having 10 years plus service at The Croft.

The Croft has 30 bedrooms all en-suite.

We pride ourselves on being approachable with the management team having an open-door policy encouraging resident and family interaction. We acknowledge the responsibility given to us when looking after the residents and managing their changing needs, we do our upmost to support the resident and their loved ones during this time. Encouraging independence, gaining an understanding of a persons wants and wishes, acting upon their views with the hopeful outcome for a fulfilled and happy time with us. Families are encouraged to remain involved with the care of their loved one, to the level they are happy with.

The Croft has links to the community, we fully support all those who are able to visit local  groups such as AgeUK, well man groups, gardening groups etc. We welcome the church into the Croft for those who wish to be involved, prayers and communion can be received in the home if this is the wish of the resident.

For residents who are living with a dementia, the team are fully trained in dementia and we take the approach that the resident’s comments and statements reflect their world and reality. We do not correct these statements, we will move the conversation along giving reassurance and support to reduce anxiety.

The Croft is a small home with bedrooms to the ground and first floor, the ground floor also holds our communal lounges, family room, kitchens and dining area.
